Election for the President of the Democratic Party of Japan
On August 5, the DPJ’s Central President’s Election Committee announced that an election for party President would take place in September in accordance with regulations governing the implementation of such elections.
Election day: Tuesday, September 14, 2010
The official election campaign period will begin on Wednesday, September 1. The election will take place at an extraordinary party convention held for that purpose.
